Great job explaining the power Converter fix !
I have an issue with my trailer where we dont have power while plugged into shore line, I’m thinking it’s the converter is this correct?
My main panel fuse was turned off when i pluged rv cable 30amp to shore power. When i turned the main fuse on the converter smoked white smoke For few seconds. And only microwave is working all 12v inside the camper is off. What’s happening?
You should have replaced both of the larger caps. The electrolytic capacitors will dome at the top or swell underneath when going bad. Caps have a shelf life and should be replaced periodically especially if under heat stress. Im an electronics tech for 30 yrs.
My RV 12v lights were flickering and 12v battery was not charging. Also, the power converter fan was running excessively loud. Luckily Camping World had the exact power converter I needed. Saved my 2 week RV trip! Super easy replacement. Like he said, DISCONNECT shore power and 12v battery before replacement!!
