4. I called GD and was provided the part number 35004 for the dbulb seal on my 2022 2600RB Imagine, and the manufacturer’s contact info – Jaeger-Unitek Sealing Solutions, near Elkhart. I was first told that the whole dbulb seal was polypropylene (PP) – which I have not found anything that is recommended to seal/attach to PP. Another person at J-U thought the d-bulb mount strip might be TPE thermoplastics, which some sealants will adhere to – Lexel says it will not – SikaFlex 221 will. Sashco-Lexel, Sika, Geocel – none of their specs and techs recommended any product for PP – and the manufacturer did not provide a recommended sealant. (another one of those RV questions that you would think would be easy – and it is not). Another GD owner said he had used Lexel and it still looked like new after 4 years. Mine now has Lexel but I put it on BEFORE i started digging – Sashco-Lexel has a Do Not Use On – and that is where you find PP. I am just going to keep an eye on it – the seal from GD was basically gone but the d-bulb was in good condition – whatever they used;)
