If you’re not up for camping in the cold, you’re going to need to winterize your rig. While a big part of this process is running the antifreeze through your water system, there is one place many people don’t want the antifreeze to go: the water heater. While the antifreeze might not damage the water heater, it will take much more fluid to winterize it and it’s just not necessary. If you want to get your RV ready for winter but not fill up your entire hot water heater tank with antifreeze, you’ll need a hot water bypass. While these devices might look simple, they help to save you trouble as well as antifreeze fluid.
You explained it as simple as it can be thank you.
