RV Battery Disconnect Switches:
Keep batteries from discharging while storing
Should be switched “off” when storing
When the Disconnect is turned “On” it will:
Charge batteries when the RV is plugged in
Charge batteries while driving
Keep all 12v appliances working
What else you should know:
The battery disconnect will not power 110v power, but it will power the controls to operate 110v powered appliances
You must be plugged in and have the battery disconnect on to power 110v powered appliances such as 110v refrigerators and AC units
Where are Battery Disconnects located?
Fifth wheels: usually found in a storage bay
Motorhomes: can be found in the stairwell inside when entering motorhome, or in a storage bay
Travel Trailers: usually in the front of the camper near the batteries

How about the grand design reflection 150 270BN solar on the roof is there a disconnect for that ?
Hi Jim – Do you know where I can find the battery disconnect switch on 2004 Fleetwood Jamboree Class C? It’s not in the battery compartment 🙄
Can the unit remain on shore power with my 2 battery disconnects off
Question, I live in Ontario, storing my trailer but want to use in January, how do I keep my batteries charged, do I turn disconnect off and leave main 120v power supply from garage hooked up to trailer or must I temporarily remove batteries and use a maintainable charger
I purchased a 2023 373FB RV, and found that even with the battery disconnect switched to the off position, and the RV completely disconnected from 110V shore power. A few lights remained lite, such as the emergency night lights that come one, or when there is motion is detected in the RV, also the outside sewer light strip remains lit. I was under the impression that the 12V disconnect switch isolates the battery from any and all other possible power drain. Am I wrong?
I took it into Bretz RV in Nampa, Idaho for warranty work, and the service technician it telling me that small night time lights will remain lit, even when the 12V disconnect switch is. in the off position. The result, is the battery was completely drained a week later. Can you confirm my thoughts?
